We were very pleased to meet with the Oireachtas Committee on Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth as the first group of policymakers to learn about the Reggio Emilia Approach.

Introducing the Reggio Emilia Approach

Our delegation on the day was made up of Early Childhood Ireland staff and our colleagues from Italy, Claudia Giudici and Sara Porpora.

Following a lively ‘Q&A’ session with the Oireachtas Committee, our final word was that we intend to work with policymakers like them to champion the Reggio Emilia Approach so that it becomes a central element in Ireland’s approach with children from birth to age 6 years.
