Unleashing creativity together

The Mercy Family Centre in Dublin 8 provides a range of educational and support services to the community, including Early Years education, adult education, parental support programmes, and social service solutions. They decided to participate in the Creative Ireland Program/RTÉ art competition “This Is Art” and formed a project called “The Land of Creativity.” Parents, teachers, and children from the afterschool programme collaborated on the project, exploring the theme of inspiration and its connection to creativity. Parents shared their stories and experiences, allowing for connections between families.

By emphasising relationships and emotions, the project aimed to inspire a vibrant exchange of ideas and interpretations. The final mural, titled “The Land of Creativity,” received recognition in the competition.
