Paula highlights the significance of creativity and play in interpreting and understanding the world.
During the study tour to Reggio Emilia, Paula observed that the children were allowed to direct their own learning through experience, movement, listening, and observing. The educators acted as co-constructors of knowledge, and the importance of time and understanding children’s intrinsic ability to acquire knowledge was emphasised. Paula highlights the significance of creativity and play in interpreting and understanding the world, drawing upon the perspectives of artist Ane Hjort Guttu and Atelieristas/artist Vea Vecchi from the Reggio Emilia Approach.
