Organised by Early Years, the organisation for young children, the event showcased a variety of hands-on workshops, engaging discussions, and the exchange of innovative practices that reignited participants’ passion for nurturing creativity in young children. The day started with a presentation on the practical applications of the Reggio Emilia philosophy, followed by an inspiring keynote address from Pete Moorhouse, an Artist with St. Werburgh’s Park Nursery School. Pete’s insights into fostering creative expression through diverse mediums resonated deeply with attendees, highlighting the significance of dialogue and exploration in children’s learning. The conference emphasised the vital role of thoughtfully designed play spaces in enhancing creativity and promoting meaningful interactions among children. Additionally, it equipped participants with practical strategies to incorporate the Reggio Emilia approach into their settings, enriching the creative experiences of young learners.
